Documents commonly prepared for IVF travel
The exact list depends on nationality, residence and the responsible consulate. Applicants commonly prepare:
- valid passports,
- the consulate’s visa application documents,
- marriage documentation needed for the medical file,
- recent fertility test results and previous IVF records,
- medication, surgical, genetic or pathology reports when relevant,
- provisional travel and accommodation information,
- the clinic’s medical invitation when requested,
- and travel medical insurance valid for the stay.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises visa applicants to apply at least one month before travel and to hold medical insurance valid for the stay. Individual consulates may ask for more time or additional evidence, so verify the current list directly with the responsible mission.

Administrative timing and clinical timing should be planned together. The official minimum planning advice is one month; starting four to six weeks before a proposed cycle gives more room for consular appointments or document requests, but it is not a guaranteed processing time.
